Youth struggles, global struggles
From the 13th to the 17th of June 2022, the second edition of the International Youth Act! Forum will be held, focusing on peace and youth: how young people understand peace and how it relates to the struggles in which young people are organized (feminisms, movement for housing, climate justice, human rights…). Work will also be done to generate shared response strategies and tools. It will be a week of intense work in which twenty activists from Mediterranean countries and twenty local activists will hold trainings, strategy sessions, visits to local organizations and participation in public events, among others. MEDITERRANEAN YOUTH BUILDING COMMON STRATEGIES
This forum is intended as an opportunity for activists from different territories in the Mediterranean region, engaged in different struggles related to global justice, to have the opportunity to connect with each other, exchange experiences, work and share good practices, debate and build. In addition, they will develop shared strategies to foster social transformation from a Mediterranean youth perspective. All sessions will be facilitated by experts in different fields and from various organizations, both locally and internationally.
So, the aim of this year Forum’s is:
- Connect activists and organizations from different countries in the Mediterranean area.
- Know and be updated on the fight for social justice in the region.
- Work on how to create, develop and apply common / shared tools and strategies.
- Highlight the goals, challenges and threats facing young human rights activists in the region.
- Design and launch awareness-raising communication campaigns.
